Established in 1942 By John Evert ”Jie” Johnson, Jie Gantofta Sweden became a well known brand for incredible gifts and
household items. Throughout their history Jie Gantofta Sweden managed to keep re-inventing themselves and surprising their
loyal customer base. Sadly in the year 1992, Jie Gantofta Sweden went bankrupt.

Jie Gantofta Sweden is recognized by three different names. Originally known as Jie Keramik, the company build a base
with their extensive collection. Later with their collaborations with Walt Disney Jie Gantofta Sweden also became known
as Jie Art, Jie Art was short for the Jie Art Walt Disney collection.

In collaboration with the artist Joakim Lindstrup Jie Gantofta Sweden produced 3D artworks of famous Walt Disney
characters; Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Goofy, Donald Duck, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and Eeyore. With his
creative and unique style Joakim Lindstrup designed artworks with messages about friendship, love and adventure. Other
artworks where a creative depiction of the Walt Disney characters. In these creative depictions, Joakim Lindstrup was
also influenced by the pop art artist Andy Warhol.

The artworks where made from either massive resin or from massive resin in combination with a black cloth background
and a wooden frame. Some of these artworks where made in three different versions. With a gold painted frame, with
a silver painted frame or without a frame. The few lamps that where made, where made from metal.

These vintage artworks are still sought after worldwide. Not only because of the high quality, the originality,
the magnificent designs and the timeless character. But also because there has no company nor artist
created artworks like these before or after Joakim Lindstrup.
